the reason why is because another neighbor gave this neighbor a ride to town last week ..He was waiting by the road at 5 am with a gas can, he has no car ......
On their way into town the nutty neighbor was saying how "the cops worry when he doesn't come out of his house" and "that he was buying the gas to burn his house down" I am sure there was more stuff but I can't remember...... The neighbor said he was never so happy to get this guy to the gas station and out of his car in his life.... Now see these neighbors have had problems with nutty neighbor before when they first moved in they had a survey done for the prop line and nutty neighbor didn't like where the line was. I believe there was attorneys involved but can't remember for sure...and now he is acting like he is this guys good friend too
OK so to yesterdays weirdness
The water heater guys came to replace our water heater the bottom of the water heater was complete rusted out the worst thing the repair guy had ever seen....
turns out we have had a leak since we moved in, someone at the factory had screwed a 2 inch screw in to the bottom of the water heater. They were screwing something underneath the house and obliviously missed what they were going for and instead went into our water heater, it punctured the glass but didn't break it water heater guy was amazed it hadn't broke
anyways after a full afternoon they got it out and went to the truck and who strolls up but the nutty neighbor
"hey dude how is it going been a while since i seen ya, do you have a extra smoke?"
scratching his face so hard it started bleeding..and then held out his had to shake hands
my plumber guy maybe i should say kid 27 years old did not shake his hand ...
he did the same thing to the pump guys the day before, Randy told me...
so then he's all "just wanted to see if I could help you out,because you guys have helped me out so much"
we have never done anything for him EVER I mean we are neighbors, but to tell you the truth beside letting them know when their horse was out we haven't had much contact with him.They have never asked us for help and we have never asked them for help...
Ok back to my story, so he wonders over to the water heater like a kid on Christmas morning
says "whatcha going to do with this"
me "uh get rid of it, these guys are going to haul it off"
he couldn't believe it "what its still got a warranty" he says as he is grabbing the rusty broken bottom and pulling on it with his bare hands
I told him that i didn't think it did, its at least 8 years old and it was damaged by a screw.. the water heater guys tried telling him too, but he would have no part of it. So after trying to convince him for a couple of minutes I said "ok you can have it if you really want it"
saved myself 20 bucks i was going to pay to have it hauled off
The water heater guy thinks that neighbor is on meth he said he is sure of it and that he probably thinks that there is copper in the water heater that he can get some money for.. The thing is is that he has no car or money so where is he getting meth, he also has no friends as far as I can tell, but I don't see the front of his house, so i really don't know how much traffic he has ..to me it looks like something other than meth he is just too way, way, out there...
water heater guy said if "I need a rifle for protection, just give him a call"
thats the second time I have been asked if I have a gun or needed a gun in reference to this guy.. the other was when I was taking pictures of our blocked off driveway, one of the other neighbors up the road drove by and mentioned it ..I guess this really is the wild wild west...
so back to the story the water heater guys left and i put my baby sleeping sign on the door closed the blinds and waited for randy to get home. when he got home we noticed that nutty neighbor had come over and put the water heater on the dolly but just left it there ..so before we went to bed randy donned a pair of rubber gloves and wheeled it up closer to neighbors property ..It was gone when i woke up at 6:30 this morning while i was looking out there. I seen him, he likes to hang out in his pump house... I have no idea why, anyways He was walking in slow motion up to his house wouldn't it seem like someone on meth would be walking faster ? so thats what my yesterday was like I am sure I have left part out its just so weird I hope today he just stays up at his place I had not being comfortable to go outside after working I was looking forward to hanging out in the yard doing yard work........

Geesh LaDawn weird is not a good enough description of this guys behavior. He's skitzo and I'm scared for you. I'm not a gun advocate, but I'd be getting one and learning how to shoot it. I would also call the whomever acts as law enforcement in your community and report the odd behavior incase he does something crazier. Staying inside behind locked doors is the safest thing to do right now.
you already know what i think of this. it's scary. i hate that cops always have to wait for something bad to happen before they do anything...that guy needs help bad. i'm worried about you guys too. i'm with chele--just keep everything locked and stay inside the house!
