Thankgiving Dinner & 2 McDon*lds Napkins

I made the whole meal and served the whole meal,
without paper towels or napkins
Only having to drag two mcdonal*ds napkins out of the drawer as a makeshift coffee filter so my mom could make a cup of coffee in her fancy little coffee maker (I will have to ask her what its called. It very cool)
Me and randy quit drinking coffee years ago...I don't drink anything caffeine it makes me sick, literally.....
Anyways I haven't bought paper towels in close to a month, they are very expensive and I find that if they are here I will use, use, use them, way to much.......
So I was remembering back to when we were poor, poor, poor and how paper towels were not on the list of things we had to have.we did fine with out them then..so I decided to see how hard it would be to not use them for yesterday and it went well I never even once missed them while cooking ..
I gave every one a clean dish rag. I have no fancy cloth napkins for the meal..
I am very proud to say it went off with out a hitch, I didn't even miss the paper towels till the coffee making and then it was for a coffee filter, not even a spill LOL.........
Oh and I just remembered we didn't use paper cups, plastic napkins , we did use paper plates though ..I bought them on a great sale :-)
This morning I found this video and website on one of the bogs I read ...Very sad what is happening to our world and what it says about breastmilk had me In a panic..Who knew, I certainly didn't I googled it. I had no idea that breastmilk has dangerous chemicals in it ..
There is a small snippet below, but to see the whole video about 20 minutes and worth watching
go here>>> The story of stuff <<<

Okay, I confess I was lmao when you were blogging about not using paper towels and using napkins for filters. Very inventive! I can't and won't do w/o my paper towels. I would give up something else first. lmao

I can remember a time when my sister would wash dixie plates so they could be used again and tear whole paper towels in half. She had the money just was really tight. lol Glad your Thanksgiving went well.

LaDawn, there is no need to panic over this kind of stuff. All babies are already subjected/exposed to the chemicals in our bodies from the time they are conceived. It's bad that we all have so many chemicals in our bodies but it isn't like you were introducing anything to Rylan that he hasn't already been exposed too.

I am not so panicky now, but when I first heard it yesterday my heart dropped ..I just can't believe its the first I heard about it... I mean I know that if I am taking something while BF it would go through, but not the stuff from every where else and for the past, oh, say my whole life....

Randy wants the paper towels back too LOL
