More snow today and the news is saying we will have a white Christmas this year whoohoo .... Its supposed to snow for the next 3 days with 5 inches possible on the valley floor we are higher than the valley for not sure by how much but 10 inches is expected in the mountains ..
Our dog comes from the school of stupid and won't go into any dog houses I have tried all different kinds and even put up a heat light for him on the back porch and he will have no part of any of it he used to sleep on the front porch but since we had to block that off for Rylan it hasn't been a option for him .....
He has a nice little place he likes to lay under the trees in the circle part of our drive way, so he can greet everyone and is able to keep an eye on the place from intruders of all sorts...... mostly its the stinky skunk sorts,
Anyways since he has to be where all the action is, I came up a brilliant idea .....
I bought a tarp and tied it up in the trees and had Randy bring home a bale of straw to put under it and Bruno LOVES it....... I went at to check on him this morning and he was curled up warm and happy, where as before he would just lay out in the middle of the driveway in the snow happy but brrrrrrr...
So now my plan is to get more straw and make him a straw doggie house... I will feel so much better about him keeping warm that way ..I bring him in the laundry room sometimes but he hates it and just want to go back out ..
so I think the straw house is going to work great, he is part German Shepard and likes the snow and has very thick fur, he doesn't act like the cold bothers him to much, but I want him warm ....

AND I am coming down with something ugh I hope it ends up to just be a quick something, we have plans to finish our Christmas shopping Sunday,we have a whole day planned out at the mall with a hour of playtime at the playground for Rylan..then lunch/dinner at the olive garden Randy has never been there ... Its supposed to snow Sunday too yikes ........
Today is the start of Randys vacation he is getting 3 weeks off....
I see that Chele Tagged me so I will start thinking of some random things about myself for tomorrows post .....

LOL! You do know you are going to have to keep knocking the snow off that tarp or it's going to collapse on him when you get your 5-10 inches. Very muggy and warm here and we have had the a/c on the last couple of days. I'd like a nice cold front before Christmas, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. I hope you kick the bug quickly.
Yep already knocked the snow off one time today :-)
What a beautiful dog, LaDawn. With a coat that thick, I can see why he's far more comfortable outside. Chele's Husky loves the outdoors in the winter, too.
Correction! Thunder USED to love the outdoors in the winter. Now if it's below 50 he doesn't want to go out. LMAO!
Love the Christmas pic of Rylan!
