and the news couldn't better ............Rylans kidney Reflux is
Gone,
gone,
gone
the doctor was surprised, very surprised that it has resolved itself.... Its not just improved,
Its not there at all anymore !!!! something like this doesn't hardly ever happen with a grade 4 and grade 5 refux....
No more daily antibiotics :-) We couldn't be happier......He will have to go get one more test called a DSMA in the next 6 months to make sure he doesn't have any kidney damage then after that we are in the clear...

We stopped at chuckie Cheese for lunch in Eugene after my first bite of pizza I remembered how much I dislike their pizza ugh made the decision we will always eat before we come next time because as much as I hate their pizza I LOVE the games and play area we had a great time playing ...

The holiday inn was was in the cutest little part of Portland called Nob Hill very clean and nice... the pool was perfect, it made for a nice evening after a long drive





We arrived at the hospital






and everyone was very nice Rylan started off with a medicine up his nose to make him very loopy and drunk feeling it scared him, he has never had medicine squirted up his nose, it was so sad, he just started doing that whimper cry of "whats happening to me"


after he started feeling the affects of the versed and was giggly, we laid him on the x-ray table and he did fuss a little bit while they did the cath, but not too bad, he could still giggle at the book he was looking at and the stickers we and he was placing all over the x-ray machine and his nose...
The worst part of the test was when his bladder was full and he didn't want to pee he cried pretty hard on that part the nurse said this was normal and the most painful part, finally he peed and there was no sign of the dye going up his uretetrs NONE
After his test he was able to drink some apple juice and he was guzzling it so quick he spilled it all over the front of him he wasn't able to have anything to drink since 6:30 am so he was very thirsty



Then we rode the sky tram down to his doctors office its the same office that did Randy vasectomy reversal but in a new location ...




What a nice ride home with that weight lifted off our shoulders..I told Randy I am going to have to find something to fill my mind with in the part that I would worry about Rylans kidney bladder stuff now :-) Randy said Don't worry Ryaln will give me lots of other things to worry about as he grows like bike wrecks and things of that nature....Gee thanks hun LOL Really this will be such a load off our shoulders always wondering whats going to happen ..I am already starting to wonder if they did the test right, even though I know they did, I was standing right there and seen it for myself ..Its now even scary to think of him not being on the antibiotics the whatifs whatifs whatifs are still there, isn't that weird...I am sure it will go away its just hard to imagine that it could be over already(well almost except for the other test) I am sooo happy ...



I googled the chances of grade 5 reflux resoving on is own and came up with these sites to show how uncommen it is

On the second link its says that a grade 3 reflux has a 50% chance to resolve by age 5 so you can imagine .. what a miracle or just great luck is that Rylans grade 4 and 5 resolving by age 2yrs 10 mnths.... amazing, just amazing.......
