Saving Money, Paying off some Debt ..

Thats my new goal
Like a early new years resolution::
I bought the book
Total M*ney Make Over..Last week read it and now
am going to put the principles of it to work here..
We have a modest amount of debt and it would of been better for me to find this program while I was still working for Andrew, but, oh well..

I think everybody knows I have doing the groce*y game since January
saving about 60 to 70% on food,shampoo,medicines
Thank goodness I started that when I did as we are now pretty well stocked up on food and health and beauty products..
I can pretty much shop only the sales with coupons..
I did run out of cooking oil over the weekend and was going to pick up a bottle till I seen it was 3-4 bucks for a small bottle.
No way am I paying that much. We are living with out till it comes on a better sale or I absolutely have to have it ..
We have olive oil and that's what I use mostly anyways, vegetable oil is for cakes and brownies and right now I don't really need those...

So anyways we will be Living like no one else, so we can later live like no one else! The next 2 years at least ......
Mindi remembers when we used to live like no one else LOL in the cabin..She loves telling the story about how her friends thought we were dirt poor LOL Well we were pretty poor but we were buying two houses and money was tight, tight, tight for about 3 or 4 years,
I am talking make your own hamburger buns tight, My brother thought that was pretty awesome, said "he had never had homemade hamburger buns before".. We have also had many Christmases that we only bought presents for the kids and even one when we were only able to buy them 1 present each and that was one from Santa...... I don't know if they thought we were bad parents because "we" didn't get them anything only Santa, Mindi it was our first year in the house on E street if you don't remember or have always wondered LOL ..

Anyways we are going back to that kind of poor because with Andrew being gone..We don't have the money from him to help cover part of the bills and of course I have lost my job working for him..So now if Randy was to get laid off, we could loose what we have struggled for all these years and the payoff is just to close to make a risk like that .. If we pay off the house in town we will have that rent as income, right now and for the past 12 years it has only made the payments, taxes and insurance..

So if we could have that as income we would be safe, tight, but safe.. In the past we have always thought if worse comes to worse we would sell it and pay off this house and then not have a house payment but now, nope we have come to far to do something like that ....
So starts a new year of living frugally, very frugally.......
