Took Rylan to Portland on Thursday... It was Andrews 23rd birthday and Rylan had a appointment with the urologists Friday so we made it a fun birthday/ doctors trip...Wer went to Chuckie Cheese Friday night then took in a IMAX movie "The Living Seas" Rylans first movie experience, he did pretty well we had to keep a tight grip on him though we sat about halfway up and he was wanting to climb down to the next row...
Our original plan was to leave early and spend the day after our 41/2 hr car ride at the museum That didn't work we didn't even get out of the house till 10:00 am ...Rylan did really good for the ride I tivoed and recorded Gulla Gulla Island for him to watch on Andrews DVD player it work great I now planning on getting him a DVD player that hangs on the back of my car seat for him to watch.. It will make our drives to Medford much more pleasant.......
Anyways back to the trip,
After a night of not so great sleep. (Our room was not ideal ..Next time we are going to do priceline again and get a nicer place) .. Off to the Hospital to get Rylans ultrasound its so nice being at hospital for kids they had a TV and VCR with movies to choose for himto watch while he had the test done We picked Blus Clues ot was Blues Birthday and they had lots of candle blowing going on ..That is Rylans FAVORITE thing these days blowing out candles and matches.....
Then we got to ride on the sky tram down to the doctors offinces on the waterfront it was a beautiful day with a beautiful view on Mt St Helens and Mt Hood...
While we checking in at the Urologists I asked it Randy vasectomy docs was also at this office and yes it was also his office I told the receptioest that he was the one that had done Randys vasectomy reversal and here we were with Rylan she thought that was pretty neat. Randy also told her about Wyatt abd Tegan and Taylor and that the vasectomy reversal was 15 years old to give her a idea of how well it worked ..Hopefully she will use our story to give some other couple hope its so hard to want something so bad and not know if its going to work....
OK back to the trip again.......
The Doc said that the u/s showed that Rylans kidneys are looking ok the left is still a little enlagred but maybe not as enlarged as the last time, so we are just to continue to do what we have been doing withthe daily antibiotics and come back in 1 year for a VCUG then They will decide id he will need full blown surgery (3 days in the hospital with drain tubes) OR the deflux procedure which is done through a cathader as a outpatient OR maybe by some stroke of luck or a miracle he will of grown out of his reflux......
Back on he tram to ride up to the hospital to get our car
then we were off to OMSI , well after a bite to eat.... We went to Burgerville Yummy....
At OMSI we all watched a planitareum show called cosmic collisions ..Then me and ryaln went to explore the musuem while Randy took Andrew and the simulated ride and got him set up in another IMAX movie ..Then Randy Rylan and I explored the museun together..
There is a exhibit of babies well fetuses in every stage of development, from daily to weely, from day 1 to 32 weeks (a pregnancy is 40 weeks total) these are real babies that died either from accidents or natural causes, before the 1940's We didn't spend to much time there, too many emotions, but I have been thinking about those babies ever since.. Their parents probably never even got to see them, because thats how it was back in those days, they probably never had names nobody but their families probably even knows what day they were born.. They have just been nameless little babies in a jar that was sad for me ... It was very fascinating though, to see the journey that we all took to be here, we all looked just like those babies at one point in our lives.... Next time we go, I am going to spend more time looking, because I will be prepared to see them and maybe we will just go to that part of the musuem at the end of the day......
OK moving right along.......The next room over from the babies was toddler play room OMG what a fun time Rylan had there his FAVORITE was the water tables at ho,e one of his fav things to do is stand on his potty chair and play in the running water in the bathroom sink... He loves being around the other kids... Earlier when we were in the other part of the museum he had found a blue ball so we went to see if we could find where it went. We found the ball room and he went up to some boys that were about 8 and tried to tell him in his baby talk that he foundf their ball, they just ignored him awwww my poor little guy he was so excited and they couldn't care less made my heart sad...
We headed for home after OMSI Rylan sleep half of the way we then stopped for dinner and to visit with Grandma and Grandpa they stayed at the casino we had dinner did some gambling change a dirty diaper and then were on our way home . We got home about Midnight ..It was a long day .....

I love the 12th pic down! The one before it had me cracking up. Sounds like a good positive overall and I will keep praying for the best outcome possible. I also emailed you. LOL!
