Sad news story

The news story

Shooting rampage in Washington state

You can't blame the guy...Seeing what happened with my neighbor has really opened my eyes to mental illness.......The news showed this guys mom she was so upset saying how she had tried getting him help ...She was told what I was told

until he hurts himself or someone else, nothing will be done

she was inconsolable, said that she would of rather her son had died than him kill all these people..My heart broke for her..

Well, It looks he will be getting the help he needs now !

May all the victims rest in peace

that's horrible :(. i'll have to read the news story.

i don't know it upsets me that you have to wait for things like this in order for people to get the help they need. not only do they suffer but so do other people.

Tragedies like this make me so mad because they can be prevented! GRRR! I'm so sorry for his family and the victims and their families.

Yes, this is very sad. I was having a "discussion" with an 81 year old friend earlier this week about how our country has its priorities backwards. Instead of sending billions in free aid to countries who hate us, we need to be taking care of the needs of our homeless. We have released 10s of thousands of mentally ill by closing institutions that should be helping them.

I'm in no way a "liberal", but I do believe in taking care of those who CANNOT help themselves.

I feel so sorry for the victims and the many family members who are grieving this morning.

I tried to post to this yesterday, however I was having browser issues that prevented anything from going through.

I find this terribly sad and agree wholeheartedly with Sherri. My heart aches for all those families.
