Did you know there are places in the United States that the bees are disappearing I don't know how much of a problem it is these days, but I am doing all I can to keep them going~~ our worlds produce depends on it~~ ...
So I made Randy leave all the dandelions in the outside of the fence yard, before every thing got so dry that it was a fire hazard, then he weedeated it ...I hadn't really been seeing many honey bees around here myself these past I don't know how many years...
So if you can Please plant squash even if you don't like it, because the bees love it and we NEED bees...
Our garden is doing better this year than it has in years. I planted lots of crookneck squash and zucchini and I have more honey bees than I have had in years Rylan loves to yell "show me, show me" when he spots one flower with 3 bees in it.....

He loves working in his garden and has pretty much done everything in it himself with very little help from Daddy or I... You would be amazed at how this kid can spot a weed I do belive he was born with a green thumb...Here is his gard~nee some of these plants are the ones we started in the house and some he planted from seeds..

There "was" a disease impactin the bee population, however, I read an article recently that said they were making a come back. I've seen many more bees this year than in the past few years here in Florida. Your garden is awesome!
